The Book of La is a collection of songs that may be sung by all manner of gentle folk, from those talented in the arts chorale to the energetic beginner, that this the Society for Creative Anachronism may be filled with sweet music.

The goal of the Book of La is to have a good range of songs, from the multi-part chorale to the single-part bardic, to make it as useful as possible to a wide audience. I have tried to avoid modern filks (that is, filks of modern tunes), simply as a matter of personal taste.

Compiled by Lady Amanda Martel, of the House of Castle Rookwell, for the enjoyment of all who may find themselves in possession of it, be they mighty or humble.

Produced in the Barony of Politarchopolis, in the Kingdom of Lochac, in the Fiftieth year of the Society for Creative Anachronism.
